Christmas Day 2007 (Twain Harte)….

Marshall in new PJsSo after the merriment at Uncle John and Aunt Tiffany’s, Marshall and I had to drive home and pick up the dogs so we could head to Twain Harte to see his parents. Uncle John had made some very strong coffee (thank you Uncle John) so I was wide awake to make the trip. =)

I let Marshall open one of his presents early which was the movie “Scrooged” with Bill Murray and so we watched (I listened since I was driving) to that on the way up. Marshall’s favorite part of that movie is the ghost of Christmas present with the really high pitched voice who beats the stuffing out of Bill Murray’s character. My favorite part is where Bill Murray is shooting a gun at his old boss (he’s already dead) and he makes the sound of the gun going off “Blam! Blam! Blaaamm….” (Don’t ask me why, it just cracks me up)

We arrived in Twain Harte around 11pm and after chit-chatting for a bit, we hit the sack so we could wake up bright an early to be able to open stockings and presents. Last year I made stockings for Marshall and the dogs so it was fun to see them get used this year. We started with the puppies. Bones and a chew toy for Lotus and Pupperoni for Sierra. =)

Lori, Jack and Andrea also opened up their stockings which brought more smiles. Andrea took some time to give her puppy some love. Aren’t they cute?

Marshall and I both received some very thoughtful gifts from Lori, Jack and Andrea. Lori bought me a beautiful sweater from Peru (in the picture with Sierra and me below) and also found this really cool collapsible hat from China. I call it my morning glory hat. It’s pretty neat even if I do look a little silly wearing it. 😉

After an awesome morning at the Aquilino’s, we had to pack up so we could travel down to Salinas for Christmas dinner at my Grandma Gillott’s. Thank you for everything Lori, Jack and Andrea. We had a very memorable Christmas morning with you. =)
