Christmas Day (Salinas)

Although it took me a while to get to this, I wanted to also share what a great Christmas day was had at Grandma Gillott’s this year. As you know, the trip started out in Twain Harte after we had spent the morning with Marshall parents and sister.

Uncle Tim brought over his cooler of liqueurs and was nice enough to fix everyone a tasty drink. Here Nicole and Alli smile for the camera (I’m going to pretend Alli was drinking soda).

Later on the guys sat down for a long game of cards. Marshall has been working to learn how to play Pinochle and holds his own even though the other guys (Uncle Tim, Uncle Tom and Dad) have been playing for 30+ years. Nice poker face Marshall. 😉

While the guys were playing cards, Grandma setup a game for the rest of us to play which was to guess the name of a Christmas song based on a set of pictograms. I did not win… =( I still had a lot of fun though. =) First Grandma explained how the game worked. Then we paired off and worked to solve the puzzles. Meemers got paired up with Aunt Brenda, Jeffery and Mandy worked together and Heather and Jeriah were a team. I was odd man out because Marshall was playing cards.

Somewhere in the middle of the festivities I managed to get a couple pictures with my family: Meemers, Sierra and Heffies. =)

Not the best picture but here is what Grandma’s house looked like with all the Christmas lights on.
