Yard work and yellow jackets…

Ok, so I’m embarrassed to admit this but I haven’t been taking the best care of my house or yard lately. =( It’s true, the front yard is covered in weeds and our lawn is about an 80/20 blend of prickly dandelions vs. actual grass.

You may think that because I brought this up, I actually did something about those nasty weeds. Well if so, you’d be wrong. Hey gotta walk before you can run. 😉

So today, to get the process started, I finally cleaned up the garbage (muddy “that’s not mud” shoes, the fake tree, etc.) off the front porch and purchased some new flowers to brighten up the place. I figure I’ll work on weeding, edging and mowing next weekend. It’s gonna be awesome. For now, here is a sneak peek of the new and improved House 2.0. =)

So of greater interest, while I was sweeping the cobwebs from the eaves, I found something…

What the?

kinda…

Bees

scary…

Bees closer

Run Away!! Seriously, the scariest thing about these yellow jackets was convincing Marshall not spray the nest with water and then run. Doh! 😉
